Rules and Regulations
- Watercraft rentals are at your own
risk. Foss Harbor Marina (FHM) and staff are not responsible
for personal injury or loss of property.
- Person renting watercraft must be
18 years or older.
- Participants under 18 years of age
must be accompanied by an adult.
- Maximum weight as per manufacture’s
specifications
- A personal flotation device (PFD)
is required and supplied.
- All individuals renting watercraft
must know how to swim and must wear a PFD.
- Alcoholic beverages and pets are
prohibited.
- Intentional or reckless capsizing
or swamping of watercraft is prohibited. Swimming is not
allowed.
- No motors may be attached to watercrafts.
- Do not stay on the water in the event
of thunder or lightening.
- If your watercraft capsizes it will
continue to float. Hold on to it as you make your way to
shore.
- Please dispose of litter at the end
of your trip in proper garbage containers.
- Renter will be required to reimburse
FHM for all damaged and or lost equipment.
- Rental equipment must be returned
and checked in by a FHM attendant, before the close of business.
- Watercrafts are rented on a first
come, first serve basis.
- No Refunds.
- In case of emergency call 911.
- Acknowledge that some, but not all,
of the risks of participating in watercraft activities include:
- Changing water flow, currents, wave action and wakes
from other boats
- Falling while launching watercraft
- Collisions with any of the following: other participants,
the watercraft, other watercraft, and manmade or natural
objects;
- Winds, inclement weather, lightning, variances and
extremes of wind, weather, and temperatures;
- My sense of balance, physical coordination, ability
to operate equipment, swim and/or follow directions;
- Collision, capsizing, sinking or other hazards which
results in wetness, injury, exposure to the elements,
hypothermia, and/or drowning;
- The presence of insects, marine life forms, and other
wildlife;
- Equipment failure or operator error;
- Heat or sun related injuries or illnesses, including
sunburn, sunstroke or dehydration; and
- Fatigue, chill and/or dizziness, which may diminish
my reaction time and increase the risk of an accident.
